🌍 Our beautiful planet: by promoting a sustainable and ethical food approach through the use of insect protein. Through this initiative, we actively contribute to the preservation of the environment as well as the reduction of animal cruelty in slaughterhouses.
THE CREATION OF PONGO
Our story begins with a shared desire: to guarantee the health and well-being of our animals WITHOUT COMPROMISE.
Driven by this desire, we aspired to create something unique, convinced that the happiness and vitality of our companions comes above all from their diet.
So we decided to look into the issue of their food.
From this approach Pongo was born.
THE HIDDEN SIDE OF TRADITIONAL KIBBLES
We have identified several major issues:
- Not very transparent recipes with a multitude of controversial ingredients of dubious quality.
- Discovering little-known aspects of the meat industry, such as the use of undervalued parts like hooves, cartilage and hair in the manufacture of animal feed.
- A lack of respect for animal welfare, particularly cruelty in slaughterhouses.
- A devastating environmental impact of premium kibble caused by the use of chicken, beef and other fillets which are also often the source of food allergies.
OUR PROPOSAL
This is how we started looking for an alternative to reduce our ecological impact and animal cruelty, while maintaining the quality of our products.
Aware of the challenges posed by the overconsumption of meat and the ethical concerns surrounding intensive agricultural practices, we sought an innovative and sustainable alternative. This is how we discovered insect protein, a natural resource that is still little used but incredibly rich in essential nutrients. This protein, complete and of high quality, is the fundamental element of our recipe.
By opting for this alternative protein source, we are taking a step towards a more balanced and environmentally friendly food future, while offering our faithful companions delicious and nutritious kibble.
